This is our most commonly asked question. We will keep this website updated with our available kittens. If you don't see your ideal kitten in the available kittens section, feel free to contact us and ask. We have a waitlist option for future litters, and can also help guide you to other experienced trustworthy breeders that we know. We want everyone to have their dream kitten!
The first step to reserving a kitten is to fill out our adoption application. We want to make sure our kittens go to good homes, and thus we review an application first. Once we approve your application, we will send a copy of our contract for you to read over, review, and sign. After we recieve the signed contract back, the kitten you choose will be put on HOLD status. We then allow 1 week for the nonrefundable Reservation Fee to be paid. Once the Reservation Fee is recieved, then the kitten is officially reserved for you. We use Zelle, PayPal, Venmo or Chime for payments. Please note, submitting an application and/or returning the signed contract does not guarantee you a kitten. The Reservation Fee is required for your kitten to be officially reserved. If the Reservation Fee is not recieved within 1 week of submitting your signed contract, the kitten status will be removed from HOLD back to AVAILABLE.
Note: The Reservation Fee is deducted from the total cost of your kitten, and is nonrefundable. After the Reservation Fee has been paid, your remaining balance can be paid in full on pickup day, or we also allow payment plans, and are very flexible and easy to work with. Just ask to hear our payment plan options.
The Reservation Fee confirms that a buyer is genuinely committed to the process of purchasing the kitten. The fee is nonrefundable, which emphasizes the seriousness of the buyers intent. This not only protects the interests of the breeder, but also ensures that the placement of the kitten is taken with proper care and consideration.
Prices start at $2600. DBE (blue eyed) kittens are $3000. Polydactyl kittens are $3000.
We do have a waitlist for clients who have an interest in a specific pairing of King and Queen, or are looking for specific coloring, etc. We pride ourselves on matching the client with their perfect feline companion. The waitlist is also for those who choose to do a longterm payment plan. Maine Coon Cats are not inexpensive, so we offer the longterm payment plan because we want anyone to be able to afford the Maine Coon of their dreams! To join the waitlist, we first ask for our Adoption Application to be filled out. After the Adoption Application has been approved, we then provide you with a copy of our contract to review and sign. After we recieve the signed contract and you provide us with the details of the kitten you desire, we will let you know how many others are currently on the waitlist, and you can choose to join the waitlist with a $300 deposit. That deposit marks your spot in line to choose your kitten, and the deposit comes off the total cost of your kitten. When we have litters born, they are offered first to those on our waitlist, in the order that clients joined the waitlist. You can also choose to pass when we show you the newly available kittens, and wait for another litter if you choose to.
For the health and safety of our cats and family, we do not offer in home visits at this time. However we do offer FaceTime calls for those who wish to see our kittens and meet us before reserving a kitten. After a kitten has been Reserved, we keep the client updated with videos and photos. We also encourage you to visit out Facebook page, where we share daily photos, videos and updates of our Cattery.
We advise all clients to do some personal research on the Maine Coon breed. Maine Coons love water, so we reccomend a drinking fountain, made from either glass, stainless steel, or ceramic. We have found our favorite drinking fountains on Etsy, but they can also be found at most pet supply stores. Maine Coons like to be up high, so we reccomend a good cat tower (or 2). We have found our best cat towers from the Happy and Polly website, and Wayfair.
Grooming supplies- you will want to brush your Maine Coon at least once a week to avoid fur matting. We reccomend using a wire grooming brush. Flea combs can also be helpful for removing mats in fur.
Litterbox- We reccomend using a large enclosed litterbox with a removable lid. Our kittens are used to using Pine Pellet litter here. The Pine Pellets are the same Pellets used for fuel burning stoves, and can be found at most hardware or farm supply stores. Your Maine Coon would surely quickly adjust to using sand litter, but we reccomend the Pine Pellet litter because it is much more affordable, less mess, and safer for cats.
Diet- We feed our kittens Nulo brand Healthy Kitten Kibble and Healthy Kitten Pate. We advise against feeding ANY Purina foods, which are often recalled and can cause health problems. You want to also avoid feeding your Maine Cokn any fish products, including tuna fish or any fish ingredients, because the fish oils can cause Maine Coons to have greasy fur.
You will also need an appropriately sized pet carrier when you pick up your kitten.
Yes, we occasionally offer breeding rights, only to Established Registered breeders outside of the State of Michigan. The cost for breeding rights is an extra $1000 added to the price of the specific kitten in question.
Each kitten undergoes a thorough health evaluation before embarking on its journey to its Forever Home. Our kittens stay here with their Mom for 12-16 weeks after birth.
